Terms & Conditions – Grace in Bloom

1. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order, paying a deposit, or settling an invoice with Grace in Bloom, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions as they apply at the time of payment.

2. About Our Work

Grace in Bloom creates custom floral keepsakes using real flowers that are carefully preserved through pressing and professionally framed.

Because we work with natural materials, each piece will have its own unique variations in colour, shape, and texture. These differences are part of what makes every design one of a kind.

3. Preservation & Natural Ageing

We take great care to preserve your flowers using trusted techniques and best practices. However, natural materials will continue to change over time.

As your artwork ages, you may notice:

  • subtle shifts or fading in colour,

  • increased fragility of petals, and

  • small amounts of natural botanical dust or fibres.

These changes are expected and form part of the natural life cycle of preserved flowers. They are not considered faults or defects.

4. Colour Variations

While we aim to maintain the original appearance of your flowers as much as possible, exact colour preservation cannot be guaranteed.

Lighter flowers, especially whites and pastels, may develop warmer tones such as cream or ivory over time, and some colours may fade or deepen naturally.

5. Delicacy of Materials

Pressed flowers are extremely fragile.

Even with careful handling and professional framing, tiny particles, fibres, or dust may be visible inside the frame. This is normal and does not affect the quality or durability of the final piece.

6. Framing

All artwork is assembled using appropriate framing methods for preserved botanicals. Due to the delicate nature of the materials, slight movement or internal particles may occur over time.

Frames are sealed and should not be opened once completed.

7. Care Instructions

Proper care plays an important role in how long your artwork lasts.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that their piece is:

  • kept out of direct sunlight,

  • protected from moisture and humidity,

  • displayed indoors in a stable environment, and

  • not opened or tampered with.

Grace in Bloom cannot be held responsible for damage caused by incorrect care or environmental conditions.

8. Lifespan of Artwork

Your floral piece is designed to be a lasting keepsake, not a product that will remain unchanged forever.

Many artworks can be enjoyed for years or even decades, but gradual ageing is part of their natural beauty and character.

9. No Guarantee of Permanence

Although every effort is made to preserve your flowers to a high standard, Grace in Bloom does not guarantee that:

  • colours will remain the same indefinitely,

  • materials will not become more delicate over time, or

  • the artwork will be unaffected by environmental factors.

These are natural outcomes of working with real flowers.

10. Client-Supplied Flowers

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure flowers are delivered in suitable condition.

We cannot be held responsible for any damage, wilting, mould, pests, or deterioration that occurs before the flowers reach us.

If flowers arrive in a condition that makes preservation impossible, we reserve the right to decline the project. You will be notified and given the opportunity to collect your flowers. Uncollected flowers may be discarded after a reasonable period.

All work with client-supplied flowers is done at the client’s own risk.

11. Flower Selection for Artwork

We carefully choose which flowers to include in your final design based on their condition, size, and suitability.

If there are not enough usable flowers to complete your chosen frame size or design, we will discuss alternatives with you and adjust pricing where necessary.

12. Non-Floral Items

Items such as ribbons, pins, wires, or decorative attachments will not be included unless agreed upon in writing beforehand.

13. Timeframes

Turnaround times are estimates and may vary depending on factors such as flower type, drying conditions, workload, and external suppliers.

Delays outside of our control may occur, and Grace in Bloom cannot be held liable for these.

14. Deposits & Payments

A deposit is required to secure your booking and reserve space in our schedule.

⚠️ Deposits are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
This includes cancellations, change of mind, or if you decide not to proceed.

This is because your booking reserves time and capacity that cannot be allocated to another client.

Deposits will be deducted from your final invoice.

Completed artwork will only be released once full payment has been received.

15. Collection & Delivery

Clients are responsible for collecting their completed artwork.

If courier delivery is arranged, it is done on the client’s behalf. While we package items carefully, we cannot control how they are handled during transit.

Once the artwork leaves our premises, all risk transfers to the client. Grace in Bloom is not liable for loss or damage caused during shipping.

16. Refund Policy

All refunds are subject to our Refund Policy.

Please note that deposits remain non-refundable as outlined above.

17. Limitation of Liability

In the event that a refund is granted, it will not exceed the amount paid for the service.

Grace in Bloom is not responsible for any indirect or emotional loss, including sentimental value attached to the flowers.

18. Use of Images

We may photograph completed pieces for marketing and portfolio purposes.

No personal details will be shared without permission. If you prefer your artwork not to be used, please let us know in writing.

19. Uncontrollable Events

We are not responsible for delays or disruptions caused by events beyond our control, such as power outages, courier issues, or natural events.

20. Version of Terms

The Terms & Conditions that apply to your order are those in place at the time your deposit is paid.

21. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.
